You may be eligible to participate in this study if:
- You are 30 years of age or older.
- You were recently diagnosed with Parkinson's disease.
- You have been taking rasagiline (Azilect) or selegiline (Eldepryl) for at least 8 weeks but no more than 8 months.
- You will not require additional symptom treatment in the coming year.
You may not be eligible to participate if:
- You have freezing.
- You have a history of congetive heart failure, bladder cancer, macular edema, or osteoporosis.
- You have type I or II diabetes.
- You have a history of stereotaxic surgery for Parkinson's disease.
- You use drugs or alcohol or have a dependence that would interfere with the safe conduct of the study.
